Essentially, the word “volunteer” comes from the Latin word “voluntarius”, meaning “willing” or “of one’s own choice”.

Whatever you do in your life, you have only two choices: do it willingly or unwillingly. If you help a stranger carry heavy boxes into their house willingly, you enjoy it. If you carry those heavy boxes unwillingly, every moment will be like torture. So volunteering means that you bring certain pleasantness to every action you take.

HOW TO BECOME A VOLUNTEER

We have two categories of volunteers: full-time team members (employees) and external volunteers.

External volunteering is open to anyone who shares our passion and dedication to our mission. It encompasses a wide range of activities, from translating to community moderation, and much more. This diversity of roles ensures that there’s a place for individuals with various skills and interests in our community.

Our external volunteers play a crucial role in shaping the MyFavorite experience, contributing their expertise and enthusiasm. It’s a testament to our belief that collective effort and shared passion can drive us towards our goals and make our journey all the more fulfilling.
